FAQ

How do I sign up?

Signing up is easy! Just follow the Signup Link, follow the instructions on the page, and click submit.  After submitting your information, you will receive a confirmation email from our team.

How do I learn about surveys?

Keep an eye on your email, and our team will notify you when we have a survey that needs your opinion.  Emails from us will be sent from AskToledo@GLM.com.

Some opportunities are posted on our social media pages too, so remember to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!

How will I participate?

We conduct research using several different methods such as online surveys, phone interviews, product testing, and focus groups.  For more information on these and other types of research, please visit What We Do.

How much will I get paid?

Compensation varies depending on the type of survey. Because online surveys are shorter and can be completed at your convenience, it is the only type that does not guarantee payment. Instead, your name is entered into a drawing for a gift card ($25-$50 value). For all other studies, participants are typically paid between $20 and $100.

When do I get paid?

You are given a check right after the focus group/testing session. For online surveys, you will be contacted by a member of our team if your name is chosen in the drawing and a gift card will be mailed to you.

Why do you need this information?

Many of the studies we do are for specific groups of people, so accurate demographic information is essential. For example, some studies may only be relevant to those over the age of 50, while others may only be relevant only to women. So, to help us expedite our recruiting process and make sure we only send you invitations to participate in surveys relevant to you, it is important that this information is accurate and up-to-date.

Is my personal information shared with other companies?

We never share your personal information with other companies. Your privacy is important to us, which is why the information that you provide to us is stored on our secure network and is never given to anyone outside the company.

What kinds of products are tested with children?

We test a variety of child-resistant packaging that is used for medications, household cleaners, and other substances that are potentially harmful to children as well as multipurpose and cigarette lighters (the lighters do not produce a flame during testing). Testing is conducted and supervised by our highly trained Operation Safe Child team, and placebos are used in place of medications.

How old does my child have to be to participate in child safety testing?

Child safety testing typically involves children between the ages of 3 ½ to 4 ¼ years of age.
